(Peu d'articles en ce moment et un vilain état grippal m'a cloué au lit quelques jours j'espère retrouver une certaine motivation pour publier des articles inédits un peu plus régulièrement -merci aux lecteurs-).

On a beau tous connaitre la saga "Halloween" au moins de nom par le fait que c'est John Carpenter qui a réalisé le premier opus et que peut-être en zappant sur une chaine de télévision il est possible d'avoir vu une des suites de la saga (9 épisodes tout de même). Alors autant le dire, "Halloween" c'est surtout une histoire du cinéma américain débutée en 1979 avec déjà Jamie Lee Curtis en tête d'affiche. Bien sûr la diffusion en vidéo a beaucoup fait pour la reconnaissance du film, mais c'est surtout dans les salles US que les spectateurs se déplacent. Rien d'étonnant donc que sur les 91 millions de recettes dans le Monde, 77 millions aient été récoltés sur le sol US. C'est logique. ceci ne doit en rien occulter le magnifique score du film aux USA et qui confirme la très bonne santé du cinéma US en termes de recettes (+11% sur un an)et la réussite de "Venom" et de "Halloween" en plein mois d'octobre est inhabituel. Tant mieux. Le film produit par le prolifique studio Blumhouse et distribué par Universal a le mérite d'être en quelque sorte la suite directe du premier épisode et consacre donc le retour de l'emblématique Jaimie-Lee Curtis contre son éternel bourreau. Une très bonne nouvelle pour l'actrice qui revient avec un peu plu sde bouteille au sommet du box- office 40 ans après. Si le film devrait rapporter les doigts dans le nez 150 millions au BO US il grapille quand même quelques recettes intéressantes au Mexique et en UK, de quoi arrondir le chiffre final.
