Le box office US avait bien besoin d'un succès après les sorties décevantes de "Diversion" et de "Chappie". Walt DISNEY ressort une nouvelle adaptation de son propre catalogue de films d'animation des célèbres contes. Après "Blanche Neige", "Maléfique", "Oz", DISNEY sort une version live de "Cendrillon". Une histoire archie connue des enfants et des anciens enfants qui trouve encore une fois son public. Film très "girlie", les recettes ne se font pas attendre avec 70 millions de recettes sur le week end, un très beau score. C'est à peu près le démarrage de "Malefique" sorti en 2014. Mais la très bonne chose, si on se fie aux informations de Disney, c'est qu'il aurait couté que 95 millions de dollars contre 170 pour "Malefique". A vérifier donc, mais il est vraie qu'Angelina Jolie avait demandé 20 millions de salaire ce qui n'est pas le cas pour "Cendrillon". C'est aussi un très bon succès pour Keneth Branagh après son succès avec "Thor ".

Le film semble prendre un très bon départ à l'international avec déjà 132 millions de dollars au compteur.
