Le box office USA étant en berne, place au tonitruant box office Chinois qui explose les compteurs. Le podium est entièrement composé de films Chinois ce qui n'empêche pas ceux-ci de se tirer la bourre. Parti comme un boulet de canon, "Journey to the West" de tsui Hark a vu petit à petit le dernier Jackie Chan "Kung Fu yoga" revenir vers lui a belles enjambées. Plus discret "Duckweed" emporte pourtant facilement la troisième marche du podium.

Si on m'avait dit que "Split" passerait 3 semaines de suite en tête du box office, je ne l'aurai pas cru. Et pourtant le film profite d'un coup de mou du box office US et de l'échec du remake de "Rings" film sympathique des années 2000 où la belle Naomi Watts trouvait un de ses premiers succès. Le film n'avait peut être pas besoin d'une nouvelle version, mais Hollywood adore se recycler. En tout cas le public ne semblait pas attendre ce remake et le film aura peut être du mal à se rentabiliser.

"La la land" poursuit son beau parcours. Il ne bat aucun record, mais est bien placé dans la majorité des pays, du coup il pourrait tout à fait approcher des 350 millions en fin de carrière.
